Phillip's 28th Birthday

Today would have been Phillip's 28th birthday. so we are having Gravenstein apple pie as always. When I stopped at a fruit stand on the way back from Elizabeth and Jason's yesterday, and saw that they had gravs, I asked the vendor if it wasn't early for them (they are barely ripe in California at this time). She said she was amazed when they brought them in. So the Lord provided- even such a silly thing as that for us. And we WILL be reunited with Phillip.

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. " 1st Thess. 4:13

In addition to the apples, I found a u-cut dahlia farm on the way across the vast expanses of Washington. Nothing like great produce and beautiful flowers to make a long drive by yourself seem shorter. And views of the Cascades getting closer and closer as you drive west. Amazing work, God! Thanks!

I am a bit late in reading this (but got the link from Jason & Elizabeth--thanks!). It is amazing how God provides even the "small stuff" like apples to make the pie. I am glad that you are enjoying your new home state and being closer to your grandbaby, who is my beautiful niece.
